Guniting

Guniting or shotcrete is a form of concrete surface protection whereby the concrete is pneumatically sprayed or projected at high velocity onto slope surface over reinforcement such as conventional steel rods, steel mesh, and/or fibers.

Guniting is a construction technique that involves the mixture of sand, cement and water along with steel wiremesh BRC to form a “waterproof” layer to prevent seepage of water into the slope during rain fall. Guniting is often used as a finishing for soil nailing works to prevent slope erosion.
